Crafted in Hobart, the Australian Timber Cylinder Pendant Light is a simple, sleek fitting featuring unique Australian timber finishes. Designed by Duncan Meerding, this pendant is inspired by the way he views the world, focusing on how the light is distributed. With a recessed integrated LED, this fitting acts more as spotlight that directs light downwards as opposed to a typical diffused pendant, making it ideal for installation above kitchen benches or work surfaces.
Duncan shares: "The relationship between light and shadow and light dispersion are integral to my design process. Being legally blind with less than 5% of my sight remaining, the vision of light emanating from the peripheries of the different objects, reflect the alternative sensory world within which I design".
Available in a natural Tasmanian Eucalypt finish or a stained Ebonised Eucalypt.
