This handmade ceramic sconce combines the function of a light with the form of a sculpture, its clay petals shaped by hand and set onto a powder-coated frame. Each piece is made in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where every petal is individually formed, so the finished piece carries the small variations and texture that only handwork can give it.
Mounted in a hallway or above a bed, the sconce becomes a focal point in its own right, the clustered petals catching light and shadow differently depending on where you stand.
