The Recessed Slot Step Light with Sensor sets a compact motion detector into the faceplate just above its rounded slot. It switches itself on as someone approaches once a room has grown dark, then turns off again shortly after the space is clear, so stairs and passages are lit only while they are in use. Through the day it stays off.
The LED is recessed behind the slot, keeping the source out of view while light spreads low across treads and floor. The aluminium housing is powder coated and sits close to flush, held in its cut-out by spring clips rather than visible screws. It is well placed on internal staircases, in hallways and walk-in robes, and in children's rooms, where a hands-free night light saves searching for a switch in the dark.
