The Pinched Ceramic Wall Sconce, formed by hand in Sydney, carries the marks of its maker. Each press and fold is left in the clay before it's cast in ceramic. The original form is used to create a mould, then high-fired until translucent. This keeps every pinch mark visible in the finished piece. That texture shapes how light moves across the surface. It diffuses into a warm, ambient glow rather than a direct beam.
The sconce is available in two finishes. For the Bare Porcelain finish, the form is left unglazed, keeping the porcelain pale and translucent so light passes softly through the clay body. For the Tenmoku finish, the same form is glazed in an iron oxide-rich gloss, turning the pale body a glossy brown, breaking to black a darker, moodier alternative with the same pinched texture underneath.
Mounted alone, it reads as a unqiue wall feature. Grouped in pairs, the sconces create an artful statement. The soft, warm glow suits bedrooms, hallways, and living spaces where a soothing, restful atmosphere is the goal. It also suits bathrooms and protected outdoor areas when choosing the IP54 integrated LED option.
