WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A CONSULT
From first conversation to finished plan
1. Before your session
Gather floor plans, mood boards or images of spaces you love. You don't need to have all the details.
2. During your session
We work through your space room by room, covering how you live in it, light layering, placement and your budget.
3. After your session
You receive a lighting plan and product specification to give your builder, electrician or architect.
4. When you're ready to order
Your product schedule is already built, so you can move straight to a quote and order. We stay available for substitutions and final selections.
Your plan becomes a product specification and quote you can order from.
YOUR CONSULTANTS
Meet the people who'll plan your lighting
Claire
LIGHTING CONSULTANT
"Lighting is an integral part of design, one that enhances architecture and materials."
Claire treats light as part of the architecture, shaping how materials and spaces are experienced. She's drawn to minimalist and coastal styles, and to handmade ceramic, porcelain and timber. She loves residential renovations and fit-outs, and is proud of Blackstone Estate, where lighting brought out the architectural and interior details.
Courtney
SENIOR LIGHTING CONSULTANT
"Great lighting should bring calm and effortless liveability to a home."
Courtney uses light to bring out architectural detail and make a home calm and easy to live in. Her favourite style is coastal farmhouse, and she works with tactile materials like handmade porcelain, raw brass, copper and hand-blown glass. Favourite projects include Loehill House in the Byron countryside and Il Delfino, a restored 1948 seaside inn in Yamba.
Sophia
LIGHTING CONSULTANT
"Lighting is where everyday functionality effortlessly meets architectural beauty."
Sophia thrives on variety, moving from a minimalist Japandi home one morning to an eclectic, mid-century or European farmhouse interior the next. She sees lighting as the layer that brings balance and flow to a space. Favourite projects include Copperstone, Lo Scoglio, Le Jardin and the Casa Bicheno collection.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need floor plans ready before I book?
Floor plans help, but they aren't essential for the free 30-minute session. For a full consultation, even rough plans let us place fittings accurately. If you're still at concept stage, we can have a useful conversation about direction and budget first.
Can you work with my architect, builder or interior designer?
Yes. Our lighting plans and product specifications are made to be handed to your project team, and we're happy to include them in your session where it's useful.
Can I book a lighting consultation online?
Yes. Every consultation is delivered by video call, and you share your floor plans digitally beforehand. If you're near Byron Bay, you can visit our showroom instead. The process and deliverables are the same.
How is a consultation different from browsing the website?
Browsing gives you products. A consultation gives you a plan: a room-by-room strategy that takes in your architecture, daily routines, style and budget, along with a product specification you can order from.
I only need to know which fitting suits my kitchen. Do I need a consultation?
For a quick question, our Help Guides may be the faster path. If you're renovating the kitchen and want the whole lighting scheme right, a consultation will save you time and rework.
How quickly can I book, and how long does it take?
Free sessions can usually be booked within a couple of days. Paid consultations depend on how soon we receive your plans and any existing schedules. For Essentials, we aim to return a draft plan and product selections within 2 to 3 weeks, and revisions usually take 1 to 2 weeks.
