The Cotton Vertical Pendant Light was designed from the need to create striking vertical lighting elements that illuminate spaces with a strong aesthetic impact. Designed specifically to highlight double-height areas, stairwells, or architectural corners, this fixture serves as a sculptural focal point.

This specific listing features a dynamic composition of five handwoven shades—a curated mix of three large and two small elements—fixed within a single structured drop. Each shade is meticulously crafted by hand-weaving continuous cotton thread into a soft beige finish, offering a warm, organic texture. Designed by Joana Bover and made in Barcelona, this fixture brings an artisanal, multi-tiered character to sophisticated interior voids.

Aesthetic & Style: Features a refined, vertical profile with a textured multi-shade composition that blends modern geometry with organic materials.
Light Quality: Handwoven cotton thread diffuses light to create a gentle, layered glow and a warm ambient atmosphere.
Premium Materials: Crafted with a robust aluminum and steel frame and finished with artisanal, hand-spun cotton thread.
Application & Use: Rated IP20 for indoor use, perfectly suited for grand foyers, stairwells, and double-height residential or commercial voids.
Flexible Installation: Includes a 2000mm suspension cable for high ceilings and is compatible with TRIAC, DALI, or 0-10V dimming systems.

2026 Lighting Trends & Expert Buying Tips

n 2026, lighting has evolved beyond pure function to become the defining "jewellery" of the home — with tactility, sculptural form, and emotional well-being at the forefront of design thinking. Our expert team's 2026 Lighting Buyers Guide covers the key trends, materials, and technical considerations to help you make confident choices for every room.

This year's dominant aesthetic is "Functional Art" — pieces that serve as striking focal points even when switched off. Standout movements include hand-blown organic glassware with wabi-sabi imperfections, a Mid-Century Modern revival with living brass finishes, bold Brutalist forms, and a growing celebration of local Australian design. Leading materials include aged brass, natural fibres like rattan, and translucent alabaster and stone.

Room by room, the guide recommends a layered lighting approach, with expert advice spanning kitchen linears, bedroom warmth, exterior accent lighting, and the technical essentials — smart integration, CRI ratings, and flexible track systems.
