The Perforated Shade Wall Light brings a contemporary edge to interiors and exteriors with its rounded geometric form. This striking fixture features a sleek metal frame that creates a bold visual statement on any wall. It uses an opal diffuser encased in a perforated metal shade to provide a soft glow. The unique pattern provides significant visual interest even when the light is off. When illuminated, the tiny apertures cast intricate shadow patterns across the mounting surface.

The versatile design suits modern or industrial styles perfectly. It is an ideal choice for hallways, entryways or as a decorative accent in a living room. The slim profile ensures it fits seamlessly into narrow spaces without feeling bulky. High-quality construction makes this piece a reliable choice for various environments including coastal projects. This fitting functions beautifully on patios or exterior pathways to enhance safety and atmosphere.

2026 Lighting Trends & Expert Buying Tips

n 2026, lighting has evolved beyond pure function to become the defining "jewellery" of the home — with tactility, sculptural form, and emotional well-being at the forefront of design thinking. Our expert team's 2026 Lighting Buyers Guide covers the key trends, materials, and technical considerations to help you make confident choices for every room.

This year's dominant aesthetic is "Functional Art" — pieces that serve as striking focal points even when switched off. Standout movements include hand-blown organic glassware with wabi-sabi imperfections, a Mid-Century Modern revival with living brass finishes, bold Brutalist forms, and a growing celebration of local Australian design. Leading materials include aged brass, natural fibres like rattan, and translucent alabaster and stone.

Room by room, the guide recommends a layered lighting approach, with expert advice spanning kitchen linears, bedroom warmth, exterior accent lighting, and the technical essentials — smart integration, CRI ratings, and flexible track systems.
