The Square Outdoor Step or Wall Light is a compact square plate that sits flat against the wall, with a shallow scoop hollowed into its lower half and a slim slot running the full width of the face. The cover is powder coated aluminium fixed over a moulded mounting base, and the emitter sits back inside the scoop so the face stays quiet and the source itself never comes into view.

Light leaves the slot as a wide, low wash that spreads down and outwards across whatever sits below, which suits stair flights, retaining walls, entry paths and courtyard perimeters. A clear diffuser seals the aperture against weather, and the shallow projection keeps the fitting clear of shoulders and luggage in narrow passages and beside doorways. The square face lines up with brickwork, tile coursing and rendered panels, so a run of them can be set out on the same module as the surface behind.
